Art gallery Vanda presents a personal exhibition of Tsira Papinashvili Visions. The exposition features 17 oil paintings created by the artist over the past four years.
The instability of the material world, its never-ending movement between the momentary and the eternal, is depicted in expressive, spatial compositions, metaphysical landscapes, where fire and building ruins are apocalyptic symbols. The tense, dramatic figures of people resemble statues and their lonely bodies seem to be striving from temporary reality into eternity.
The space that opens up in the compositions of Tsira Papinashili is a kind of mysterious exit that seems to go beyond the picture plane and into infinity.
