Impulse

The exhibition Impulse brings together five distinct artists (Vakho Bughadze, Tamuna Melikishvili, Beka Sakvarelidze, Rita Khachaturian, Nini Jaliashvili) and their unique, individual responses to internal and external stimuli.

Here, impulse is presented as initial energy – the first spark that gives rise to action, emotion, and form, ultimately transforming into art.

The exhibition addresses various forms of impulse:

  • Psychological, as an instantaneous, often subconscious reaction to experiences;
  • Social, as a response to the environment, tensions, and collective experience;
  • Physical, as the driving force of movement, gesture, and the transformation of matter; and
  • Intuitive, as the invisible yet powerful dynamics of the subconscious.

The presented works are not open to a single interpretation – they create an open space where the viewer actively engages in the process: responding, assigning meaning, and observing their own inner emotions.

The exhibition space has no strict boundaries – one zone seamlessly transitions into the next, emphasizing the continuous, fluid nature of an impulse.

The exposition creates a sense that the visitor is not merely an observer here – they are a participant in the process.

Impulse is an invitation to observe your own reactions and the force that gives rise to them. This exhibition does not offer answers – it initiates a dialogue.
