IMPULSE

The exhibition IMPULSE brings together five different artists (Vakho Bughadze, Tamuna Melikishvili, Beka Sakvarelidze, Rita Khachaturian, Nini Jaliashvili) and their unique, individual responses to internal and external stimuli.

Here, impulse is presented as an initial energy – the first push that gives rise to action, emotion, and form, ultimately transforming into art.

The exhibition explores various forms of impulse:
The psychological, as an immediate, often unconscious reaction to experience;
The social, as a response to environment, tensions, and collective experience;
The physical, as the driving force behind movement, gesture, and the transformation of matter; and
The intuitive, as the invisible yet powerful dynamic of the subconscious.

The presented works do not lend themselves to a single, fixed interpretation – instead, they create an open space where the viewer becomes involved in the process: reacting, assigning meaning, and observing their own inner emotions.

The exhibition space has no rigid boundaries – one zone flows seamlessly into another, emphasizing the continuous and transitional nature of impulse. The display fosters a sense that the viewer is not merely an observer, but a participant in the process.

IMPULSE is an invitation to observe your own reactions and the force that gives rise to them. This exhibition does not provide answers – it initiates a dialogue.
