Gallery “Vanda” will host Rusudan Maisashvili's solo exhibition, Hybrid/, starting October 24.
Rusudan Maisashvili is one of the standout representatives of the younger generation of artists, who boldly entered the Georgian art scene and has already established herself as a highly compelling, original, and thoughtful artist.
The exposition will feature her recent works, united under a single concept. Rusudan Maisashvili's contemporary, deeply expressive, and original artistic language evokes profound emotions and prompts contemplation.
The series of works presented at the exhibition addresses the relationship between the body and consciousness, as well as the social and cultural stereotypes that shape the individual. The body here is not merely a measure of physical existence, nor is it an object of personal eroticism or naturalistic display. Rather, these works embody an open conflict between power and vulnerability, submission and freedom.
The exhibition will open on October 24 at 18:00 and will run through November 10.
