Hybrid | Rusudan Maisashvili

From October 24, Vanda Art Gallery will host the first solo exhibition by Rusudan Maisashvili, titled Hybrid. Rusudan Maisashvili is one of the most remarkable representatives of the young generation of Georgian artists. She has confidently entered the local art scene and has already established herself as a highly original, thoughtful, and engaging creator.
The exhibition will feature her recent works, united under a single concept. Artist’s contemporary, expressive, and distinctive visual language evokes deep emotions and invites viewers to reflect.
The series presented in the exhibition explores the relationship between body and consciousness, as well as the social and cultural stereotypes that shape individual identity. The body, in her interpretation, is neither a mere measure of physical existence nor an object of personal eroticism or naturalistic exposure. It becomes a field of open conflict – between power and vulnerability, submission and freedom.
The exhibition opens on October 24, at 18:00 and will be on view until November 10.
