Art Gallery Vanda presents a joint exhibition by Otar Sharabidze and Mirian Kiknadze, titled “Clay, Paper, Ink”.
This exhibition seeks to merge the works of two remarkable artists from different fields into one cohesive space. By displaying ceramic and graphic works together, the exhibition highlights the unique qualities of each medium, offering a more engaging experience for viewers.
Otar Sharabidze’s ceramics are original and distinctive, often taking on a sculptural quality while retaining their decorative and functional purposes. His works stand out due to their varied forms, colors, and textures, as well as his use of different materials and techniques, including chamotte, porcelain, red clay, glazes, and pigments. Sharabidze is continuously exploring and experimenting with materials and technologies, focusing on form, color, and texture, all of which he crafts entirely by hand, without the use of any automated tools, easels, or machinery.
Mirian Kiknadze’s contributions to the exhibition are a small yet significant selection from his extensive body of work dedicated to his beloved city of Tbilisi.
The 40 landscapes, created with watercolor and ink, showcase his refined taste and meticulous technique. These pieces, created over the past year, will be exhibited in the halls of Art Gallery Vanda for the first time.
Opening: Friday, June 21, 7:00 pm.
