My art is a pessimistic game. I create worlds where identifiable and abstract objects coexist, interacting beyond any physical or logical limits. — Alex Berdysheff
Alexander Berdysheff's work is a captivating blend of distorted reality, pure abstraction, and surrealism. His art explores the essence of existence and the tension between the visible and the invisible, challenging the nature of reality itself. Through his creations, Berdysheff invites viewers into a dialogue with abstraction, encouraging them on a journey beyond the boundaries of the tangible world.
The most important thing for me is the creative process itself. It is a game, a ritual, a lifestyle. It encompasses everything. — A. B.
Abstract surrealism is a deliberate choice for Berdysheff, reflecting his fascination with the depths of the human psyche and the complexities of human experience.
In his world, art serves as a bridge between the material and immaterial realms, a space where surrealism offers not an escape, but a deeper engagement with reality.
I get inspiration from everyday life, dreams, travels, books, etc. It can be any image or word. My imagination adds ‘missing’ details and creates a living environment for all the fragmented and contradictive material. The images I create may have their stories but it's not my part to tell them. Everyone can interpret these images. A personal experience and imagination make such interpretation each time different and unique. — A. B.
The exhibition will be on display from November 22nd to December 15th, with the gallery open daily from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
