Vanda gallery (formerly “Hobby Gallery”) – the oldest and very first private gallery in Georgia, founded by twin siblings Alexander and Vanda Mujiri in 1993 is located in the historical district of Tbilisi – Sololaki.
From the very beginning the gallery mission was popularization and promotion of contemporary Georgian art worldwide. To achieve this goal, gallery became an active participant of such major art events, festivals and fairs as ArtExpo NewYork, Art Basel Miami, Deco-In, Messe Berlin, Art Fair in Ankara, Art Manezh in Moscow, Art Kiev in Ukraine, Boston International Art Festival and etc. In 1997 Gallery represented modern Georgian art at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington DC. Gallery’s history counts over 500 group and solo shows, charitable exhibitions and auctions.
Vanda Gallery works with more than 120 artists, some of whom are exclusivly represented by the gallery, activelycollaborates with foreign artists and galleries from many countries.
Apart from worldwide famous artists, gallery works with Art Academy students, is in constant search and discovers new talents and provides support for their future success. For 14 years this has also been the main mission of one of the largest children's art competitions countrywide“Golden Palette”established by the gallery. Over 200 children take part annually from all Georgia.
